Every time this square sign is flipped over, its arrow impossibly points in an unexpected direction.

It’s a great prop to have in any theater—it could be used to visually teach stage directions in an interesting and memorable way, or used by an usher to welcome guests and show them around.

The concept is based off an old magic principle, and it was originally shown to me by my magic teacher, Jon Bucher, who used this prop to great effect in theaters, trade shows, and more. Once you understand the rules of how it works, you can construct a routine to go along with any script you choose.
